The lighting in the rooms could benefit from a warmer hue to create a cozier atmosphere!!! Firm mattresses may not be suitable for everyone, and the internet struggled with streaming, which was a bit disappointing.

We stayed here with our grown children and loved the wonderful views of the volcano and the lush gardens. The sloths in the trees added a unique touch to our stay, making every morning special as we enjoyed breakfast with birds chirping all around.

My kids wished for more dining options, especially for heavier meals after long days exploring.

A hidden gem in La Fortuna

Waking up each morning, the stunning view of the volcano greeted us. The breakfast was delightful, and the staff truly felt like family, assisting us at every turn.

However, the room felt a bit basic and lacking in charm. While the essentials were there, it could have used a more personal touch and better decor.

I loved the charming gardens filled with hummingbirds and the delicious breakfast buffet featuring local dishes. The cozy atmosphere made it a perfect retreat. Would definitely return!

! The staff were super friendly,, even made towels into animals for the kids which they absolutely loved.

It wasn’t exactly inexpensive,, but considering the experience, it felt worth it.

The views of the Arenal Volcano were breathtaking, and

the overall atmosphere of Hotel Secreto La Fortuna was delightful. Elver at reception made our stay even better with excellent local tips. While the breakfast could use some improvement, the relaxed vibe and beautiful garden more than made up for it.

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was perfect—close to restaurants yet tranquil and private. Breakfast was delicious, with a great variety, and the staff genuinely cared about our experience, even helping us spot a sloth. The gardens were beautiful and teeming with wildlife. It would have been nice to have a larger pool area.

Loved the gorgeous gardens filled with hummingbirds and had an amazing time spotting sloths around the hotel! The pool was perfect for a refreshing dip after a day of exploring.
